Harneet was born and raised in Auckland, attending Diocesan School for Girls and following this, completed a conjoint bachelor’s degree in Law and Arts at the University of Waikato. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2019.

Harneet began her career working for a criminal Barrister gaining litigation experience since making the shift to practice in all areas of Family Law when joining Complete Legal at the beginning of 2021.

Harneet predominately works on matters that include, but does not limit to, parenting and guardianship disputes, family violence, adoption and Oranga Tamariki matters. She has experience in the Family Court and frequently appears in the South Auckland courts (Manukau, Papakura and Pukekohe). She also practices in the area of Trusts, Wills and Estates, separation matters, division of assets and conveyancing matters, and has a keen interest to grow in this area of law. 

Harneet provides legal aid services as a lead provider and is prepared to deal with urgent matters that may put a child’s safety or personal safety at risk. Harneet does her utmost best to understand and hear her clients while providing them with honest and realistic outcomes to assist them through their legal journey.

Harneet is fluent in Fiji Hindi and Hindi and enjoys assisting clients of all ethnicities. Outside of the office, Harneet enjoys time with family, cooking a range of food, dancing and supporting the All Blacks.
